Longfield Care Home is a small, close-knit community in the pretty town of Maldon, Essex. Our experienced and friendly team take time to make strong bonds with the people who live with us, and their families. This enables a truly person-centred approach to care and makes sure everyone feels a real sense of belonging.

Living with us and our approach
Supporting the people who live here to remain happy and active is a daily focus for our dedicated and skilled team members. At Longfield, our enthusiastic Lifestyle Coordinators take time to talk to each person and their families to learn about their hobbies and interests. By learning about each person, our team can draw up a meaningful calendar of group and one-to-one activities, as well as regular day trips out.
People who live here are gently encouraged to try new things. For example, our innovative Tovertafel table creates opportunities for social interaction while offering a variety of engaging interactive games. This technology helps support both cognitive and physical activity.

Location and surroundings
In a quiet residential street in the pretty town of Maldon, Longfield is five miles south of the A12, with easy access to Chelmsford, Colchester and beyond. There are also frequent buses which stop just two minutes’ away.
We are within easy walking distance of high street shops, the health centre and library, with plenty of coffee shops and an ice cream parlour to stop in on the way.
Getting out for fascinating day trips is never a problem here, with the historic Beeleigh Abbey, the pretty Promenade Park on the River Blackwater and Heybridge Basin just on our doorstep.
