The residents of Windmill Lodge Care Home in London recently enjoyed a day of pampering
at the care home. They experienced the full spa treatment, with manicures, feet massages and hand massages all delivered by the team.
Not only are these treatments relaxing for those involved, but they also help to improve blood flow and create opportunities for one to one interaction with the team. They’re equally praised for helping to ease discomfort, pain and alleviate feelings of anxiety.
During their individual pampering sessions, those living in the home enjoyed chatting to the team about the recent activities they have enjoyed and conversations they have had with loved ones.
Whilst visitation is still limited at the home, team members have been taking on roles they usually wouldn’t, to ensure wellbeing is maintained and disruption to their weekly schedule is minimalised.
It was a wonderful day at the home, with residents saying how relaxing the treatments were. The hand massage certainly helped to keep their hands moisturised too with the increased use of sanitiser, something everyone was grateful for.
Pamper sessions will continue to be delivered at the home so residents can continue to enjoy the various positive benefits they offer.
