We understand being able to live in your own home for as long as possible is really important, and due to varying health conditions or disabilities, sometimes people need additional support to make this possible.  That is where Excelcare Homecare can help.

Since 2000, our dedicated, trained and respectful team has delivered a variety of home care and domiciliary care and support to children and adults, within the London Boroughs of Tower Hamlets and Lewisham

Our compassionate and respectful team members, many of whom live in local areas such as Stratford, Bromley and Catford, can visit with the weekly shopping and do the housework, provide an hour or two’s respite for a dedicated carer, offer much-welcomed companionship, or deliver complex 24-hour live-in support.

Whatever care and support it is you or your loved one needs, we’re here to help people enjoy life for as long as possible, within the comfort and warmth of their own home, rather than moving into a residential care home.

Supporting people to continue living in their own home

AdobeStock_151235286.jpgIn addition to our 31 care homes throughout London and the south of England, we also have a team of trained and trusted professionals within Excelcare Homecare, who provide services in predominantly southeast and southwest localities of Tower Hamlets.

Our home care team delivers personalised and flexible support which enables people to continue living  within the comfort of their own home, whilst also giving their carers time to themselves and peace of mind that their loved one is in safe hands.

We provide tailored care for people of all ages, who are funded by social services, as well as individuals who fund their own care.

To determine someone’s needs, we spend time getting to know each and every person we work with,  and those closest to them, developing long-term supportive relationships based on trust and openness.  And, with minimum visit times of at least 30 minutes, we are able to ensure our team members aren’t rushed and have time to deliver the care and support they are there to provide. We understand the anxiety linked to choosing a home care provider and the challenge of not only trusting someone to care for your loved one, but also trusting them with your cherished home and belongings too.

That is why we’re always free to answer any questions that you might have – so that you have total peace of mind about your decision.

Children with Disabilities
Our service provides care and support services to children living with disabilities in the London Borough of Lewisham.  This service ranges from providing personal care inside of the home, providing night care to those with health conditions as well as taking children and young people out for local activities in order to provide families with some respite.  Our service is focused on increasing the independence of young people, preparing them for the future.

With home care, help is at hand Website_HomeCare_AdobeStock_180861066.jpg

Our specialist service is designed to make living at home easier and more fulfilling for people of all ages, including children living with a disability, and adults with a variety of conditions and support needs, including people who are living with dementia.

It may just be an extra pair of trained hands for a short period of time to help following a hospital stay or during a carer’s holiday, or it could be more intensive and regular visits for someone who is struggling to look after themselves or has complex health needs.

As part of our flexible service, our trained and experienced team members can provide help with medication, housework, home-cooked meals, personal care, companionship, a sitting service providing respite for carers, and support with getting up and going to bed.

We also offer support in accessing the local community, with team members helping with the weekly food shopping, collecting prescriptions, accompanying service users to GP or hospital visits, going out for lunch or seeing friends and family and taking day trips to local places on interest.

The key to our reliable support is it is delivered at the time you need it, by friendly team members who take pride in their work and are able to provide more or less support as care needs change over time.

A qualified and carefully selected team

Young and Old Ipad AdobeStock_296490163.jpgOur valued team members are not only carefully chosen for their kind and caring nature, they are also diligently trained in aspects of care and support needed to provide a high-quality service.

To make sure your loved one is in good hands, Excelcare Homecare draws on a large number of care and support team members from different cultural backgrounds and then strives to match them appropriately with our service users – supporting common interests. We also endeavour to keep carers as consistent as possible for service users – helping to nurture close bonds.

As a minimum, all of our team members have a good level of spoken and written English and undergo a nationally recognised Care Certificate that includes important areas such as First Aid, Medication, Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults and Children, the Mental Capacity Act, Health and Safety, Fire Safety and Infection Control. They also take part in a thorough induction which covers our policies, procedures, expectations and period of shadowing an experienced carer.

In addition, all team members will then go on to achieve QCF Level 2 in Health and Social Care within six months of joining us, if they don’t already hold the qualification, and receive Medication Administration training, as well as undergo a range of regular refresher courses to ensure their knowledge it kept up-to-date.

Also, many of our team members are trained in a particular area of expertise, such as caring specifically for people living with dementia, including complex needs, stoma care, peg tube feeding and epilepsy.

At Excelcare Homecare, we understand how important it is our team members have the right skills, personality and attitude – giving you peace of mind that your loved one is cared for as if they were a member of our own family.
