The people living at Primrose Croft Care Home in Cambridge were recently delighted to receive some letters from children who attend the Polish Scouts.
This was organised by Lifestyle Coordinator, Natasha, who recently joined the Excelcare family. She has some interesting activity ideas that she brought along with her as well as her connections to the Polish Scouting and Guiding Association Group (ZHP).
Natasha’s mum was a leader of the group and now Natasha volunteers as an instructor. She does this on weekends and recently took the group on a Mexican themed weekend and to Thetford Children’s Camp.
During one of these trips with the scout group, Natasha spoke about her new role and asked if the children would like to write to the people living at Primrose Croft. They all said they would love to and set about writing letters based on their favourite things.
Once they had all been written, Natasha took them to Primrose Croft and gave them out to the people living there. Most of the children wrote about their families, which the people living at Primrose Croft said was lovely. It put smiles on their faces reading all the delightful things they had to say about their loved ones.
Some of the children wrote about their pets and in their letters, asked if the people living at Primrose own or have owned any in the past.
Natasha said everyone enjoyed reading the wonderful letters from the children and how excited they are to write letters back to them.
