The team at Goldenley Care Home recently welcomed Carly, the sister of Excelcare’s Chief Operating Officer Sam Manning, along with her lovely litter of puppy dachshunds to spend time with the people who live there.
The people who live at Goldenley love spending time with animals, especially dogs. Animals provide people with a sense of companionship and comfort which can help to ease feelings of agitation or stress. The presence of dogs can also improve a person’s mood and can bring back fond memories of pets they have owned throughout their lives.
Knowing how much people appreciate spending time with animals, Sam asked Carly to visit Goldenly with her puppies and raise smiles around the home.
When Carly arrived with her dachshund puppies, everyone instantly fell in love with them! Alongside a member of the team, Carly walked around the care home and introduced people to JJ, Mable, and Mini.
The people who live at Goldenley were very excited to meet the puppies, taking the opportunity to stroke them, cuddle them, and play with them. Carly received many compliments about her puppies, saying how well-mannered yet playful they were, and also how cute they were too.
Mini grew very fond of Jean who lives at Goldenley and tucked herself up under a blanket she had on her lap. Jean laughed and said, “Do you think anyone would notice if I kept her?”
After a long day of meeting the people who live and work at Goldenley, Carly and her puppies headed home in the afternoon, but left many smiling faces at Goldenley!
