Essex-based care homes, Lime Court and Sweyne Court are both celebrating after recently receiving the news they have achieved their accreditations with the Gold Standards Framework (GSF)!
The GSF is the UK’s leading training provider in end-of-life care for frontline team members. With over twenty years’ experience, the GSF provide quality training to people working in care, so they can deliver the best care to a person until they reach the end of their life.
Team members who work in care homes can sign up to train with the Gold Standards Framework and if they pass, the home can achieve a Beacon status which is the highest accreditation you can receive. This certifies that the home is dedicated to providing quality, dignified care to a person up until the end of their life. If a care home sustains this achievement in future accreditations, they can be awarded gold and platinum statuses.
Sweyne Court Care Home and Lime Court Care home have both achieved the incredible beacon status this week, after years of dedicated work by the teams in each home.
Suzanne, the Home Manager at Lime Court Care Home said, “We are so proud to receive a pass for our GSF and achieve a beacon status. End of life care is where, as a care team, we feel we excel and this has provided us with confirmation of that.”
Maxine, the Home Manager at Sweyne Court was also delighted by the work of the team for achieving this accreditation with the GSF. She said, “The GSF course has enabled our team to deliver excellence in care”. She added, “In the report, in the section 'Areas of strength', it says, ‘Sweyne Court has delivered obvious compassionate care'.
“To have received the GSF Care Homes Accreditation Quality Hallmark Award for Sweyne Court is truly amazing and well deserved; it will be a benefit to the residents and all who work in the home.”
Well done to Sweyne Court and Lime Court for achieving this accreditation and we look forward to seeing their journey as they ‘go for gold’ in future accreditations.
