Throughout the month of December, the people living at Hunters Down celebrated the festive period with a series of Christmas parties!
December and the Christmas period is an important time of the year for residents at Hunters Down, as each person has fond memories of Christmases spent with their families and loved one. Every year, the team hosts activities that aid with reminiscence, so these memorable moments can be recalled and shared with their friends and family at Hunters Down.
With many memories rooted in Christmas gatherings, the team decided to host a series of Christmas parties, which would encourage residents and their loved ones to come together, celebrate, reminisce and make new memories in the process.
At each of the four parties they hosted at Hunters Down, they welcomed entertainers to perform and hosted a series of games and activities with prizes available. KJ and the Catt was one of the performers welcomed and together, they sang a range of popular songs and Christmas classics. KJ and the Catt also deliver moments of comedy throughout their act, which kept a smile on everyone’s faces.
Themed games were also popular at each of the festive parties and with prizes up for grabs, there was some friendly competition in the air.
Singing, dancing and delightful snacks and drinks featured at each of the Christmas parties, which helped to bring back fond memories of Christmas parties from the past. Everyone had a unique story of how they used to celebrate Christmas – each with moments that involved listening to music and dancing with their loved ones.
Each and every resident enjoyed the Christmas parties at Hunters Down and together, made many merry memories they can cherish forever.
Ann, who lives at Hunters Down said, “It’s been lovely having fun and getting together at Christmas.”
