A dip in a pool during a hot day is the perfect way to cool off from the heat, and although they don’t have a swimming pool at Goldenley, Lifestyle Coordinator Faith had the perfect solution.
Faith bought the next best thing, a paddling pool and invited people outside to dip their feet in the water and cool themselves off from the hot weather.
The group sat in the Amazon Garden under the shade of a gazebo and relaxed with refreshments, ice cream and ice lollies, paddling their feet, doing quizzes, and wearing colourful sun hats. Making sure people are comfortable during the hot weather is important, and this made for a very refreshing way to cool off!
Ensuring people stay hydrated in the heat is also a priority for the team, so cold drinks were served throughout the day.
Everyone agreed it was another of Faith’s brilliant ideas! Brenda, who lives at Goldenley said she “couldn’t think of a better way to stay cool!”
They all enjoyed dipping their feet into the pool and making a splash, whilst socialising with their friends on a wonderful summer’s day.
