Alan lives at Goldenley Care Home in Benfleet, Essex and this week shared a special moment with his son, Lee during a visit.
Visits from loved ones have a really positive effect on people’s wellbeing, so everyone is delighted that their loved ones are now welcome to visit whenever they please and create memories together.
Lee recently completed the London Marathon, so he brought his medal along with him to show his dad during his visit.
Alan was really pleased to see him and after spending some time catching up, Lee pulled out his medal and told his dad about the London Marathon. Alan said the medal was very impressive and couldn’t wait to hear all about it.
He was full of smiles as Lee told him about the run, the challenges he faced during it but how he battled on and crossed the finish line. Lee also said how he ran the race in aid of Cancer Research, to help support people who live with cancer and fund future research into finding a cure. Alan was very proud of his son Lee and said he can’t imagine how difficult it was.
He joked and said Lee should go and tell all the ladies living at Goldenly as they would be very impressed.
It was a lovely visit and a wonderful moment for Alan and his son to share.
