At Castlemead Court Care Home in Newport Pagnell, they have recently opened their new wellbeing space, which is a dedicated area to encourage relaxation and improve wellbeing amongst residents and team members.
Across the family, the well-being of our teams and the people we care for continues to be a top priority. There are many schemes in place to help improve personal wellbeing, such as this new space at Castlemead Court.
In the wellbeing room, there is dim mood lighting, colourful throws on the wall and a vaporiser that fills the air with calming aromas. Sounds of nature and other music linked to relaxation also plays in the background, so people can close their eyes and enjoy the sounds and scents of the room.
Since the room has opened, both team members and residents have enjoyed spending time in the room, relaxing and enjoying some quiet time. After a busy day, it provides people with the opportunity to leave distractions outside the room and enter a tranquil space.
Many people have already said how calming they find this new space to be and how it has helped to boost their personal wellbeing.
It’s safe to say this latest project has been a great success.
