Recently, the team at Ashlyn Care Home in Harlow took their fundraising efforts to new heights, as they aimed to raise money for the home.
On Friday 28th May some members of the Ashlyn team joined together with a wonderful relative of the home to complete a 13,000 foot skydive event. This skydive was organised to raise money for the home’s activities fund, so that they can arrange even more fun activities and events for the people living in the home.
Team members Georgina Thomson, Natasha Garvey, Toni Williams, Lisa Thomson and Pam Trott all travelled to Suffolk on the day of the event, excited to test their limits and help out a good cause. Nerves were in the air, which was to be expected, but they followed through and performed the dive admirably. Once back on the ground, they were all presented with certificates to commemorate their valiant efforts.
In the end, the team raised a fantastic total of £2,150 for the activities fund. This is an incredible amount and will allow residents to have even more things to plan and be involved in.
We extend many thanks to the team, and greatly appreciate their time and energy in planning and completing this skydive event.
