Last week, the people living at Winifred Dell Care Home in Essex enjoyed an offsite visit to the tea dance!
The residents of Windsor and Balmoral had smiles on their faces as they took a trip to Nightingale Community Hall. This was a particularly exciting occasion, as it was their first offsite tea dance since COVID began!
As they entered, music from the past played and everyone was encouraged to dance along. Then they were offered tea, coffee, cakes in order to gain some much-needed energy.
The people from Winifred Dell had an amazing time and delighted in dancing alongside residents from care homes all over the catchment area. They were spun around the floor with the help of various dance coaches, as well as team and family members.
It was clear that everybody had a fantastic time – not only from the grins on their faces, but also from the fact that they were constantly on the floor! William was definitely enjoying himself, and let the team know how much he loved the music that was played.
This is the first of many slots that the team have booked for the tea dance this year, so everyone is already looking forward to the next meeting.
