Winifred Dell Care Home in Essex celebrated the Queen’s birthday in style, with the team preparing an assortment of activities and treats for the people living at the home.
They began by treating the residents to a tea party, where they had a variety of drink choices including Pimm’s and lemonade, fruit juice, tea, coffee and even cordial.
The morning was full of fun, with lots of music and entertainment, and a hearty selection of drinks and cakes. The residents engaged in hearty chatter and sang and danced along to the music in celebration of Her Majesty.
In the afternoon, the home decided to honour the sunshine and escaped into the garden to catch some rays. The team offered up hats and sun cream and placed everyone under the shade of the gazebo. The garden was dressed in banners and balloons as they held a garden party in honour of the Queen.
Later in the afternoon, everybody outside raised a glad to the Queen, and discussed their favourite things about the Royal family.
This was a very fun day at Winifred Dell Care Home, and everyone appeared to have a wonderful time. They hope that the Queen’s special day was filled with just as much enjoyment.
