On Tuesday 21st November, at the finals of the Women Achieving Greatness in Social Care Awards in central London, Excelcare’s Chief Operating Officer Sam Manning was announced as the winner of the Corporate Leader Award!
This award recognises the achievements of outstanding leaders in the sector and ones that are dedicated to supporting and empowering women in the workplace. Throughout her career, Sam has shown outstanding dedication to her colleagues and has always been an inspiration to women in the workplace, with her tenacious leadership skills and heartfelt approach to all that she does. To say that Sam is deserving of this award is an understatement and all of her family members at Excelcare are delighted she brought the award home!
In reaction to her win, Sam said, “Wow, I never thought that I would be walking up to the stage to pick up the Corporate Leader Award at the WAGS. I was absolutely delighted to receive a nomination in this category and elated to be named as the winner. None of this would have been possible without the unwavering support of the Excelcare Family and I’m immensely grateful to each and every one of them for always delivering above and beyond.”
Excelcare’s Chief Executive Officer, Ozzie Ertosun was in attendance at the WAGS and witnessed the moment Sam was announced as the winner. “Seeing Sam go from strength to strength in this company fills me with pride, and on her 30th work anniversary with us, I couldn’t think of a more deserving lady to win this award. From when she started as an Administrator at Castlebar Care Home in 1993, Sam has consistently delivered excellent results and shown a level of dedication that many cannot match. A truly well-deserved award win and one I was proud to witness. Congratulations Sam.
As well as congratulating Sam, we would also like to stake this opportunity to say a huge well done to Director of Communications, Engagement & Marketing, Sadie Munro and Cambridge Learning & Development Pathway Partner, Petrina Faulkner who were also nominated for awards at the WAGS. Although they weren’t announced as winners on the night, they are both winners in our eyes and to make it to finals is a massive achievement in itself.
Congratulations Sam, Sadie and Petrina!
