Lime Court Care Home in Dovercourt, Essex was fortunate to receive a 3-year Artist Residency with Gecko.
Gecko is an award winning and critically acclaimed physical theatre company based in Ipswich. They create theatre that inspires, moves and entertains their audiences. Gecko's work is visual, visceral and ambitious and they create work through collaboration, experimentation and play.
On 26th June the people at Lime Court were joined by Paul, Helen, Vanessa, Miguel and Jake from the talented Gecko for the premiere screening of their short film 'Still' which was made at Lime Court and features the people living at the home. Barbara, who appeared in the film, went to the public screening at Harwich Arts and Heritage Centre later on in the evening and had a wonderful time!

STILL powerful and proud. STILL sensual and strong. STILL elegant and energetic. STILL a part of us. They are STILL here.”
'Still’ is a film created, produced and directed by acclaimed physical theatre company Gecko as part of the Artists' Residencies in Care Homes project in partnership with inter-generational charity Magic Me, the UK's leading inter-generational arts charity.
