It was a memorable day for Goldenley resident, Iris, when she went to witness her granddaughter tie the knot at a wedding ceremony in Chelmsford.
It was a moment Iris had long been waiting for since hearing the news that her granddaughter was engaged!
Over the last few months, Iris has been involved in the build-up to the big event, including going to help her granddaughter, Jess choose her dress alongside her daughter, Karen. It was an emotional day for Iris and her family, but a memory they will each cherish forever.
Late in October, the day finally arrived and Iris couldn’t wait to see her family gathered for a memorable milestone in her granddaughter's life. The event was hosted at the Channels Estate in Chelmsford, which was described as a beautiful place for a beautiful occasion.
It was a wonderful service, and Iris was delighted she could be there to witness Jess, and her husband Barry say their vows to each. After seeing Jess walking down the aisle, Iris said, “She looks so beautiful, I am glad she picked the right dress,” and chuckled with her family.
After the ceremony finished, Iris got her dancing shoes on for the after-party, where she enjoyed some of her favourite tipple, socialised with her family and made some happy memories she will hold on to forever.
Iris was delighted to be a part of Jess and Barry’s wedding day and looks forward to seeing their lives develop together as husband and wife!
