Windmill Lodge receive handmade calendars

The people living at Windmill Lodge Care Home in London came into the New Year with smiles and happiness, with the help of Corpus Christi church.

At the start of the year, the people of Corpus Christi Church came bearing gift baskets for team members as well as some 2021 calendars that were lovingly created by the children of the church.

On New Years Day, Lifestyle Coordinator Grace went around to every person in the home and presented them with one of the handmade calendars. This filled everyone with joy, and some even asked Grace if she would display them on their bedroom walls, so they could look at it daily.

Though the home had already provided each resident with a personal calendar, both the team members and the people at the home agreed that these ones were special because they were created with love by the children of Corpus Christi. They really appreciated the children’s efforts, with one resident noting that it was so “nice of them”, and another saying “I already have a calendar, but I will hang this one next to it; very kind of the children, isn’t it?”.

The calendars were a great start to the year and put everyone in good spirit. Here’s to a great 2021!
