Lorraine is a qualified Foot Health Practitioner who regularly visits residents living in Cambridgeshire-based Excelcare homes. She ensures the residents' feet are creamed, filed and well kept, whilst providing some entertaining company for them.
The residents always come away with beautiful toes, painted in the colour they choose and feeling fulfilled from their time with Lorraine. But due to the outbreak of COVID-19 and restrictions that have been put into place, Lorraine is, unfortunately, unable to attend her usual sessions.
Still keen to ensure the residents maintain their well-kept feet though, Lorraine sent a large donation of Dermatonics products and hand balms for residents and team members across the region.
In total, she supplied 698 tubes of cream to care homes and NHS hospitals to support during this pandemic. Her efforts have been praised by all, even the Director of Dermatonics got in touch to share his compliments and donate some stock. She's been really helpful during these unusual times and the residents have appreciated keeping up with their footcare routine, although it's not the same without Lorraine.
Residents and team members have said the hand balm has been especially useful as they have been washing their hands more frequently. "It's been brilliant', they said and has stopped their hands from getting dry, which may seem minor, but makes a huge difference to daily life.
A huge thank you to Lorraine and Dermatonics for the large donation, it's especially thoughtful during this period and has kept all of our hands' and feet feeling great.
