Residents of Neath House Care Home in Milton Keynes recently got into the Christmas spirit during a festive craft activity. With the help of the team, they collaborated to make a Christmas card with a special message written inside.
Not only do people enjoy these types of activities, but they also help to bring back memories too. Most of the people who live at Neath House used to send handwritten Christmas cards to their families and friends each year, so the team hoped this activity would bring back many warm festive memories.
Whilst making the Christmas card, residents discussed the uncertainty of what would be different this year due to the pandemic. After talking about the subject, they decided to include this on the card by giving Santa, the reindeer and both snowmen face masks.
After collaboratively creating a lovely Christmas scene on the front of the card, residents came up with a message to include inside. This read:
“Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everyone around the World.
Love from everyone at Neath House Care Home.”
Many happy messages were recalled during the session and residents had a great time telling their Christmas stories. They all look forward to getting involved in more festive activities during the countdown to Christmas Day!
