Two weeks ago, our Cambridgeshire homes banded together to produce a fun Nativity play. At St Georges Court Care Home, they tried to make their part as unique as possible.
Home Manager Debbie put her acting skills to the test as the Inn Keeper, while Housekeeper Maz and her son Ian, who also works at the home, acted as Mary and Joseph. Residents of the home got involved as well, wearing sheep marks that they had helped to make. All that was left was the star, which administrator Tania took on, shining brightly as she did so.
When dressed up and in place, they began reciting their lines and singing Christmas Carols. Everybody was incredibly professional and the whole activity only took a few takes before Lindsey the Director called out cut! Some of the filming also took place outside at the front of the St Georges building, which provided a great laugh for passers-by.
It was an extremely busy day, fitting in the activity around the normal day to day jobs, but everyone enjoyed themselves and noted how much fun it was! In fact, the people living at the home commented on how enjoyable it had been to see the staff looking relaxed and chilled in their roles.
The whole event really provided everyone with some much-needed Christmas spirit, and they look forward to more Christmas themed events to come.
