The people living at Hunters Down Care Home recently joined in with Left-Handers Day by testing out their arts and craft skills, using their left hand.
Most of the people living at Hunters Down are right-handed, so the team thought it would be fun to do some arts and crafts, but challenge people to use their left hand!
Residents love arts and crafts activities, as it provides them with the opportunity to express themselves and get creative with their friends. The added challenge of using their left hands interested people, so lots of residents came to take part!
The team challenged residents to draw a picture of a tree, only using their left hand. For those who were left-handed, the team challenged them to use their right hand.
There was lots of laughter and discussion throughout the session, as people tried to draw using their weaker hands. As the team walked around, they were pleasantly surprised with how good some of the drawings were!
You could see people were really concentrating while using their weaker hands and were really engaged in the activity.
Everyone enjoyed the session and said it was fun to try drawing with their weaker hands!
