Excelcare walks in memory of Captain Sir Tom Moore
In honour of our nation’s inspirational Captain Sir Tom Moore, we are inviting our Excelcare-family to join in with a ‘Walk of Hope’.
Captain Sir Tom Moore captured the nation’s hearts when he pledged to raise as much money for the NHS as he could, by completing laps of his garden. This heart-felt action attracted attention from the UK and for his actions, Captain Sir Tom Moore raised over £32 million for NHS Charities Together.
In light of his heroic actions before his untimely passing last week, we have been inspired to carry on Sir Tom's legacy by taking part in a ‘Walk of Hope’.
Sam Manning, Excelcare’s Chief Operating Officer, has encouraged Excelcare Team members to do at least one lap of an indoor or outdoor space to help raise funds. Together, we hope to complete a minimum of 100 laps in Captain Sir Tom’s memory.
We will also be raising money for The Excelcare Foundation. The Foundation was recently set up with the Charity Commission to help relieve financial hardship amongst employees and / or their immediate family members of Excelcare who are in need by reasons of ill health or bereavement.
