This Christmas, teams at Excelcare's Central Support Office were set a challenge to spread some festive cheer and celebrate a time of giving by giving their office spaces a festive makeover and donating to charity to get in the giving mood this Christmas.
Team members from Quality, Governance and Development, PR and Marketing, and members of the IT department chose to donate to a local charity named 'Community Vision'. Community Vision work closely with families and offer support to parents and children going through times of crisis.
Together, the teams put together a plan to donate brand new toys for children of all ages, who might not receive a Christmas present this year. The gifts would then be wrapped and delivered, with the help of Community Vision.
Team members delivered the toys in person on Tuesday 16th December, and the team at Community Vision were absolutely delighted and overwhelmed with the generosity shown. Together they all posed for a picture in front of the donation, and Community Vision will now start the task of wrapping them up in time for the big day!
“We just wanted to say an enormous thank you on behalf of all the families we work with, the gifts delivered yesterday are wonderful and will be distributed this week.
“Please pass on our sincere thanks to all the team at Excelcare, the generosity in these difficult times has touched the team and I’m sure these gifts of toys will help the vulnerable families & children we work with to have a less worrying Christmas,” said Jo Cozens, Resource & Resilience Manager, Community Vision.
We are thrilled to have supported such an important cause through the efforts of our Central Support Teams; these gifts will help to make this Christmas a little bit brighter for many children.
