Excelcare’s CEO, Osman ‘Ozzie’ Ertosun stepped up to receive the first dose of his COVID-19 vaccination this weekend.
With the pandemic creating many challenges over the last year, Ozzie wanted to lead the way and encourage others to book their vaccine to help protect themselves and the lives of the people they support, their families and also their colleagues.
The vaccines are being rolled out across the UK in order of priority, with older adults, frontline health and social care teams and care home residents being amongst the first to be offered the vaccine.
As a leader in the health and social care sector, Ozzie wanted to actively support the rollout of the vaccine and keep himself and others protected, while encouraging team members across the group to take this important step.
Ozzie said, “I am so grateful and proud of our frontline teams, all of whom are a special part of the Excelcare family, and each have been working above and beyond to keep the people we care for safe and well throughout the pandemic.”
“I know some people are rightly anxious about having the vaccine, so I stepped forward to receive this in the hope it will encourage others to get vaccinated as soon as possible, as it will help to protect us all.”
Ozzie would like to extend his gratitude and well wishes to all the frontline teams across the Excelcare group for their continued work in adapting to change and caring for the people living in our homes.
We hope this inspires others to book in their vaccination so we can look forward to a brighter year ahead filled with more family moments and hopefully, a greater sense of normality.
