Throughout the month of July, the people living at Dovecote Manor Care Home in Bletchley, have been joining in with celebrations for Good Care Month.
This is a month that is dedicated to celebrating the contribution that carers make to families and communities all over the UK. This national month has been recognised and honoured by many more people over the last few years due to the COVID-19 pandemic, as it showed the dedication and selfless role of frontline teams.
The people living at Dovecote recognise the support that the team offer to their daily lives, so they wanted to take part in Good Care Month and show their appreciation.
To do this, they created colourful works of art and wrote kind messages on the front, before giving them to members of the team. This kind gesture went a long way, and the team were delighted to receive these special gifts from the people living at Dovecote.
The messages that people had written on the front of their designs were heart-warming for the team, with some reading, “Thank you for caring” and “Thank you for looking after us and for caring”. Hearing this from residents provided a boost to the team’s wellbeing, as it was pleasing to see how happy and thankful they are.
