Celebrations galore for the Buchan House team

At Excelcare, we treat every team member and person that lives at our home like family. This was reflected over the last week at Buchan House Care Home, where they partook in not one, but three celebrations for various members of their team!

The first was for Dan, an incredibly hard-working member of the maintenance team. Dan and his girlfriend are expecting a baby boy in December, so the rest of the team at Buchan House had the lovely idea to throw him a baby shower. They thought it would be a great surprise, as it is normally the expecting mum who participates in the tradition. The plan was a great success, and Dan was very surprised to walk into the room and find decorations, a buffet of food, and gifts for their future child.

The second celebration was to congratulate team member Bindu for reaching the large milestone of 15 years of work at Buchan House. Bindu began working there 15 years ago as a carer, then became a team leader, and has since trained as a Registered General Nurse, now working alongside the Buchan House nursing team. Bindu is a real asset to the house and everybody is so proud of her 15 years of service.

Finally, the third celebration of the week was regarding another expected child… Team member Anoop and is wife are also expecting, and so the team worked to surprise Anoop with a large hamper of baby goodies from his family at Buchan House. Anoop was overjoyed and incredibly touched, and the team at Buchan House wish him all the love and enjoyment that a new child brings to families.
