Situated on a quiet road close to Milton Keynes town centre, Neath House offers a comfortable, warm and welcoming setting, where we provide a range of respite care and long-term care to people who need residential dementia care or end of life care.
As a family-owned and run company, we provide a home from home environment so the residents can live with dignity and respect. Undergoing refurbishment, Neath House certainly lives up to our high standards, matched by exceptional levels of care delivered from the hearts of our committed and compassionate team.
Dedicated, highly trained and professional, our team members meet everyone’s needs with kindness, patience and understanding. We’re a tight-knit team here, with strong links to our local communities of Bucks, Bedfordshire and Bletchey.
Neath House has been purpose-built and specifically designed with care in mind. We blend first-rate facilities and comfort with a friendly atmosphere and are dedicated to giving the kind of care that we’d offer to our own precious family members.
At our home smiling faces have always been our biggest reward.
If you’re looking for a happy, harmonious community with first-rate facilities, varied activities, and care that’s delivered from the heart, then Neath House is for you.
Purpose-built to be light and spacious, Neath House offers care in an environment that’s relaxed, warm and friendly.
We pride ourselves on giving care with understanding and patience and find that people quickly feel at home here. We encourage residents to personalise their rooms with photos, bedding, ornaments and other mementos because we find that having cherished possessions helps people to feel relaxed and comfortable.
It’s the little touches – that come from being family-run and owned – that make the biggest difference. For example, we really take the time to get to know each and every resident so that we understand their dreams, desires and wishes fully. This detailed knowledge helps us to personalise each person’s day, supporting them to have a high quality of life.
Overlooking our south-facing, landscaped gardens and patio, our bright and sunny conservatory is a popular spot, whatever the time of year. Here, residents enjoy relaxing with a good book, sipping a cup of tea or a chatting with a friend. Everywhere in our care home is wheelchair-friendly – including the wonderful gardens - so that our residents feel confident being able to get around and are free to spend their days exactly as they wish or take part in scheduled activites.
We use our lounges, cinema room, library and patio areas for a wide variety of exciting activities and events. You can always tell when something is going on, by the singing, chatting and laughing and that's exactly how we want it. Friends and family often join us, making our community varied, lively and engaging.
At Neath House, we design each day to help residents lead interesting, active, happy lives, with the chance to try new things as well as enjoying the hobbies they already love.
Working with residents and team, our Lifestyle Coordinator crafts an inspiring and varied programme of events, activities and social get-togethers, bringing stimulation and creativity into all our lives.
We love any sort of games, from crosswords and puzzles to bingo and quiz nights and have light-hearted competitions that residents throw themselves into. We enjoy a full programme of activities, including arts and crafts, exercise classes, live music, visits from local farms and movement to music. Whatever the people who live here enjoy, we try to bring it to our home; promoting happiness, mobility and sociability.
Our team is dedicated to meeting individual needs and work with those living with dementia to create peace of mind. Team members run reminiscence sessions as well as ones that stimulate the senses as they find both are highly effective in boosting wellbeing.
Mealtimes are important to us too, and we make each one a highlight of the day. At beautifully presented tables, our imaginative catering team serve home-cooked favourites from fresh seasonal produce, catering to specific dietary needs and cultural preferences. On birthdays, our chef even bakes a specially decorated cake to mark the big day so we can celebrate in style.
At Neath House, we make sure each of our residents’ days is filled with fun, laughter and interest, creating a harmonious, stimulating and fun atmosphere.
Our team is committed to meeting residents’ individual physical, social and emotional needs, offering personalised care where each individual receives our full attention and respect.
By getting to know each of our residents thoroughly, our team members learn about their likes, dislikes, life history and aspirations, whilst building a picture of how best to care for them. It results in putting together a person-centred, personalised care plan, and creating tailored activities and therapies especially for them.
We understand placing your loved one in a care home can be an emotional time. With this in mind, our experienced team members are always on hand to support and advise you throughout, offering their knowledge and a great deal of compassion.
Residents’ families are very much a part of our lives, and are welcome to visit every day, whether at mealtimes, during activities or the many get-togethers we host. We also hold regular meetings to gain ideas and feedback from both residents and their relatives, always with the aim of making sure residents are well cared for, happy and safe.
Maintaining the residents’ dignity and freedom of choice, we offer excellent support and heartfelt care, resulting in a truly welcoming and contented home. A place where our residents can feel supported and secure, while spending time doing things which bring them joy and happiness.
In the leafy residential area of Neath Hill on the north side of Milton Keynes, our home is just a 5-minute drive from central Milton Keynes, with its excellent range of shops, restaurants and cafés.
The bus stop outside our front door has services that connect with the centre, the major ‘Centre: MK’ shopping complex, theatre and mainline train station (which has services to London in 30 minutes). We are just a five-minute drive to the M1 and 10 minutes to the A5.
There are some lovely day trips to be had nearby, including the green spaces and village of Great Linford, the wartime code-cracking Bletchley Park, stately Woburn Abbey and Dunstable Downs.
