Games Afternoon enjoyed at Sherrell House Care Home

On 28th December, the residents and staff of Sherrell House Care Home enjoyed an afternoon of games and fun. A selection of games were played including hoopla, beanbag games and the residents’ favorite, seated volleyball. Not only is physical activity important, but the mental stimulation gained from playing games which rely on hand-eye coordination is especially beneficial for those living with dementia.

The games really brought out the residents’ competitive side and they commented on how much they look forward to future afternoons filled with fun activities.
