Water Hall Care Home
Water Hall Care Centre is a 56 bed purpose built care home located in Bletchley, Milton Keynes. The home is situated over two floors, the ground floor is leased to the Primary Care Trust and the first and second floors offer permanent care in a Residential setting for those with Nursing, Residential or Dementia needs. We also work in partnership with Milton Keynes Hospital to provide Rehabilitation care.
Each floor offers recreational and dining areas where activities and entertainments can be enjoyed and we also have a lovely secure garden area.
All our bedrooms have en-suite shower rooms and have telephone and television access points.
We also have a Quiet room which can be used for private special occasions, including birthdays, wedding anniversaries and family meals.
All areas of the home are accessible to wheelchair users.
At Water Hall, we specialize in offering ‘Person Centered Care’ tailored to meet each individual’s needs. Our staff are specifically trained to look after people living with Dementia and focus on the person and not the disease. We encourage active involvement from relatives and friends with an open visiting policy.

Home Manager – Tendai Mangoro
Tendai has had 20 years’ experience as a nurse. She has worked in the Home Care Sector since 2004, where she progressed to Deputy and then Home Manager under BUPA and Life Style. Her qualifications include a BSc (Care Management), Registered Managers Award, NVQ Level 4 and a qualification in Marketing. She joined Excelcare as the Care Manager in February 2014 and progressed to General Manager in July 2015.
Care Manager – Nkiru Cos-Chiemelu
Nkiru has been a Nurse for over 20 years. She has had experience in elderly care, Dementia, Medical & Surgical experience, Mental and Neurological nursing care, with additional certificates in Mentorship and Haemodialysis. She is hard working, dedicated and passionate about care, and always ready to explore new areas and improve practice.
Administrators– Jean Tyler and Sarah Lawton-Murray
They are both responsible for all Admin work throughout the home.
Receptionist – Naomi Hodges
Our Receptionist is responsible for answering incoming calls and meeting and greeting visitors to the home.
Staff nurses organise the running of their shifts and the staff who are on shift. They will have a Registered General Nurse Qualification.
Team leaders organise the management of their shifts and the staff who are on duty. They will either have an NVQ in Health and Social Care or be working towards it and have a minimum of two years’ experience of working in a care home environment.
Senior Carers and Care Assistants
Senior Carers and Care Assistants deliver care to individuals under the guidance and instruction of senior staff, taking into account individual preferences including gender, religion, diversity cultural and linguistic backgrounds whenever possible.
Our Occupational Therapist works with the individuals who are admitted to our Rehabilitation placements.
Our Activities Coordinator provides opportunities for meaningful and purposeful activities and outings planned through a structured programme following discussions with the individual who live here and their families.
Our Housekeeper and the team of domestic and laundry staff are responsible for ensuring the highest level of cleanliness is
maintained throughout the home and laundry, this is undertaken with care and attention to infection control guidelines.
Our Chefs are responsible for the day to day running of the main kitchen ensuring that all catering needs are met and that the kitchen meets the regulation standards.
At Water Hall, our Activity Coordinator supports and inspires the people who live here with daily activities, entertainment and lively social engagement programmes to promote stimulation and creativity. A programme of events is displayed on each floor and in public areas.

Water Hall is located in South Bletchley approximately 9 miles from Milton Keynes which boasts one of the largest indoor shopping centres in the country. The home is accessible via buses from Bletchley or Milton Keynes which both have mainline train stations.
The home is within walking distance of the local shops and amenities. Bletchley town centre is only a short bus ride away, and offers a wide range of shops including a post office, banks, supermarkets and bakers along with pubs, restaurants and cafes. The town also hosts a market on regular basis.
Bletchley Park, the historic site of Secret British Code Breaking in World War Two is nearby.
