Our new Electronic Resident Information System (ABLYSS) is extremely helpful in recording, storing, monitoring and auditing the care each person receives

“My mother passed peacefully away in her sleep, last Tuesday in Castlemead Home, Newport Pagnell. The care she received was exemplary; mum always said, (whenever one of the staff had been in, for whatever duty they were doing), “She’s lovely” or “he’s a nice/lovely chap” with a warm smile. Mum loved it in Castlemead, I cannot fault the staff, always very patient, caring and the meals were great.
You hear about the worst of care homes, it will be a nice change to ‘sing’ the praises of a high quality home instead, they thoroughly deserve it.
My husband said, if and when he needs a care home, he would love to be in this one, so would I!
Relative

“To [the receptionist] at the weekends, who was always there to talk to and nothing was ever too much trouble, and because of her kindness and support, to not just me, but others who I’d see her listening to, has become a dear friend.
“To [], the nurse who hadn’t been there for very long, but looked after my mum with such affection and care. [] was with us when my mum passed away and she made us all feel like we were the only family there.
“Your staff are a true credit to you.”

LH, resident’s daughter

“I cannot sing the praises of Castlemead enough; an establishment that has to be seen to witness just how a care home should be run. It is spotlessly clean with good food provided and excellent care given by devoted staff. Let’s make room to applaud the high standards of care given to those that need it most by people that really care.

“I had to write to let you know what a treasure trove Castlemead Court is, for both residents and relatives. Clearly at the heart is absolute care shown to the residents as individuals, whereby their different needs are always taken on board. It is as much like their own homes as it can possibly be. The standard of cleanliness in the rooms and shared areas is excellent and nothing is ever too much trouble.”
M L, resident’s daughter

“I think it is good fun here as all the staff are happy and jolly. I attend all the activities as they are fun and gives me something to do rather than sitting down and watching TV.”
E B, resident from Daisy Unit

“I think the carers do take a lot of responsibility and look after us well. The home seems to be very clean, the girls go round all the time to take good care. I think the staff are lovely.”
L W from Daisy Unit

“My granddad is at Castlemead and the staff and the care he receives and the overall environment is excellent. We couldn’t be happier, really puts our minds at rest.”
K C, resident’s granddaughter

“The staff are great and the care for my father in law is excellent I could not ask for more.”
A.G.R, residents son in law
“I have worked for Castlemead since 2007 and have enjoyed working with wonderful staff. I have a great rapport with everyone including residents and their families.”
