Sweyne Court is a spacious 43-bed Care Home with a lively and caring atmosphere. Every service user benefits from a staff key worker system. The home is well established and takes pride in its level of personalised service.
Sweyne Court is a purpose built residential Care Home specialising in dementia care and situated in the heart of Rayleigh, set in scenic grounds with views of the local countryside. Residents and staff enjoy spotting local wildlife such as foxes and squirrels through the windows.

Sweyne Court encourages musicians and a reminiscence room for residents to remember the good old days. We also have an excellent chef who produces a varied menu to suit our service users’ preferences.

Home Manager – Hayley Gibbs
Hayley has worked in the Care environment for the past 18 years, Leadership & Management as well as being a Dementia Champion. Hayley starting as a carer and progressing to Home Manager.
She holds an NVQ Level 2, 3 in Health and Social Care and 5 in also won a Southend Business Award in Training & Developing staff and in 2011 won the National World Skills Caring Competition
Prior to becoming a Home Manager, Hayley worked as a project manager for 16 care homes.
Deputy Manager – Maxine Calverley
Maxine has worked in care for over 14 years, starting as a voluntary worker in Learning disabilities with children & young adults, then became a HCA and senior & worked her way up to Deputy Manager.
Maxine holds a NVQ level 3 in Health & Social Care and is working towards Level 5 in Leadership & Management. Maxine has worked for Sweyne Court for 5 years.
Our Activity Coordinator supports and inspires the residents with daily activities, entertainment and lively social engagement programmes to promote stimulation and creativity.

The opening Hours for Sweyne Court Day Centre start at 9.45 for service users and we close at around 3.30pm Monday to Friday.
Transport is provided by organised mini buses.
Tuesdays and Thursday are our specialist dementia days.
Activities are provided including bingo,cards,board games ,activities for impaired vision, floor games skittles and bowling.
Arts & Crafts can be decorating picture frames – painting etc
Meals are provided by residential if the service user does not wish to have a meal they can have a pack lunch. All dietary requirements can be catered for.
