We carefully consider choices in respect of gender, religion, ethnic origin and cultural and linguistic backgrounds where practical. Every Senior Carer has an NVQ 3 in care and all our Care Assistants achieve an NVQ 2 qualification.
Longfield takes the time to discuss hobbies and interests with residents and relatives and devises individual activities as well as group activities to stimulate and suit individual needs. A full programme of events is displayed clearly in each unit.
We display photographs of our residents all around the home and keep up-to-date photograph albums. Our gardening activities are very popular as we prepare for Maldon in Bloom every year.
We try to meet everyone’s religious and spiritual needs and regular visits are made to the home by different churches and schools.
