Oak Lodge at Glennfield

Oak Lodge is a 4 bedroom house situated in the Grounds of Glennfield Care Home. It provides support for Younger People living with dementia. The emphasis is very much on maintaining and encouraging people to continue living as independently as possible whilst having 24 hour support from trained staff.

The environment is designed to have a homely but contemporary feel and people who live there have their own courtyard area which is private and has flower borders all around it. The four bedrooms all have an ensuite shower and people are encouraged to personalise their bedrooms. Access to the main home is available to enable people to enjoy the coffee shop, hairdresser salon and any activities that people might like to attend. Our activities staff work alongside people to ensure that their choices influence the type of activities that take place. The family feel of this small environment has proven to be very therapeutic and engaging for all, including family members, friends and everyone involved with the people who live there.
