General Manager – Santall Horn
Santall has been a Home Manager since October 2006 and became the General Manager at Etheldred Care Centre in November 2008. Santall began her career in Social Care in 2002 as a Care Assistant. Santall progressed from a Care Assistant to Senior Care Assistant to Residential Care Manager and then onto home management. Prior to managing Etheldred House, Santall managed another home for 2 years. Santall holds numerous qualifications relating to care of the elderly including NVQ level 4 Registered Managers Award.

Care Manager – Enrica Linao
Enrica has worked at Etheldred Care Centre since November 2008 and her qualifications include Registered General Nurse. Enrica has 14 year’s experience in the nursing industry. Enrica is responsible for the running of the home in the absence of the Manager.

Plus our team of qualified nurses, team leaders and health care assistants who take time to know each resident to discuss medical needs, likes and dislikes and things they are passionate about.

Etheldred House provides a wide variety of activities and events, with regular outings to places. We have the benefit of two Activities Coordinators who liaise with everyone to plan activities and outings throughout the year.

Local entertainers visit for:

  • Sing-a-longs
  • Pantomimes
  • Music for health and exercises

People can also take part in Bingo, Arts & Crafts, weekly movies as well as themed evenings, group sessions, music and song and a chat over a glass of sherry. Regular trips include local attractions, garden centres, pub lunches or a simple walk around the village.

We maintain our close links with the local community and schools often visit the home. Etheldred has its own special dog that visits every day, as well as visits from other animals including dogs, guinea pigs, snakes, spiders and lizards. There are chickens that are looked after by us. As the home is located close to the local village green and pond, most people like to make regular outings to feed the ducks.

End of Life care.
